[AT] OT Ford engine

Hi people can any one point me in the direction to find what year a ford diesel engine is, by serial number from engine. Believe it is a 7.3 engine. This is a donor engine i am going to put in my tractor hauler. It is from a 91 ford f 250 but was second engine in that truck. I have called ford and int. dealer and one tells me to call the other. If some one know about them i will send numbers to you.
