Lew are sheet metal parts hard to come by for them. I went and looked at
mine a little closer. The grill frame, not the insert but the metal frame
that attaches to the hood is in pretty sad shape. (I guess you could call
it the vertical part of the hood). I think it can be fixed but it might be
a lot easier to replace it. I'll check out the list you recommended when I
get more time.

Hey Charlie

Check out this group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/casegardentractors/ for
case "little tractors." I have a 646 (has a loader) & they're great little
tractors. It's a great, friendly & active list; lots of knowledgeable folks
there.

I acquired my first non AC tractor today. Well I guess you can call it a
tractor. A friend of mine bought a Case 446 hydro new years ago.
I told him maybe 10 years ago that I'd like to have it when he decided he
didn't want it any longer. He's getting on up in age and doesn't use it
anymore. He's moving and he told me the other day to come and get it. I
haven't paid him yet as we haven't decided on a price yet but it's mine.
It's been repowered and I'm not sure exactly what engine is in it. I
haven't looked yet. It has some minor rust, needs a paint job and some TLC
but
otherwise it's a working tractor complete with the mower deck. It'll be a
while before I get around to working on it but I'm excited to have it.
That thing sure is built stout.

Charlie
