[AT] Ford 1841 fuel problem

It did lope just a little until I closed it a bit but I was surprised it
didn't quit when I fully closed it. I cleaned all the passages & jets with
the biggest copper wire I could get through them; thinner ran thru them
freely. It took 3 different sizes of wire depending on what I was pushing
it through. Jet didn't come with it (nor the adjustment set; kind of hard
to describe it). It'll probably have a pretty "consistent" load on it; it's
a backhoe that is all hydraulic I had another old gas backhoe years ago & it
seldom seemed to affect the governor (IOW hear the change in the engine) as
the digging. etc. progressed. Main thing is it runs now so unless it "shows
significant issues" when I try it I won't worry about it; only be using it
occasionally anyway (but probably often enough to keep it from quitting from
non-use; it's the only full sized tractor I have with a loader on it).

Lew did the main jet come in the kit or is it the original? I'm thinking
it isn't seating right. If the engine runs with the main shut off, it
has to be getting fuel from somewhere. And then there's the fact that
you can't richen it enough to make it blow black smoke or at least lope?
Did you check the passage for gas to get from the float bowl to the main
jet? Something doesn't seem right there. Doug T
