[AT] A-C WC battery

Dick I’m relatively certain that ALL WC's were 6 V positive ground. Since
it's been converted look to see if he used a 1 wire alternator. If so I
would bet all he did was switch the battery to 12 volt and change the ground
to negative. The starter is likely still original. It doesn't care about
battery polarity and really spins nicely on 12V. If he used some other
sort of alternator I can't really help you but if it's a one wire just put a
12 V. battery in it, make it neg. ground. Check to see if the one wire from
the alternator runs to the Ammeter and then to the starter. Make it hot and
if the ammeter swings the right way you should be in business.

If anyone thinks of something I missed or said wrong please speak up. If
it's been switched to 12 V most likely the lights are either blown or
disconnected.

Subject: [AT] A-C WC battery

I've had a WC sitting in the back for a few years and decided to start
tinkering with it. I got it from the original owner. His son converted it to
an alternator. The battery was gone when it got it. How can I tell if it's
6 or 12 volt now and whether it's negative or positive ground?

Thanks

Dick
