The clutch assembly on all early ferguson 35 40 and 50, was troublesome.

William,
I've checked for a stop and there isn't one on my tractor. I simply
can't get the clutch to go all the way to the step plate. All other
things seem to work fine. You mentioned that the bearings in front of
the transmission were bad for you. Did it make any noise or do
anything else that made it stand out as an issue?

Also, was this something that you were able to fix yourself?

Thanks for your help.
