LOL!  Are any of those old Lawn Boy engines still running?  When I first started working for a repair shop (around 1975)OMC still had that float available as a replacement part.

All this talk reminds me when the collectors of the really old stuff used to 
worry about ethanol dissolving the shellac off carb floats. At the time it 
seemed those of us with that stuff were the only ones that were going to 
have any trouble.
