Thanks for the information about the white Cubs. I have seen the other
tractors that were painted white also, and they are really a neat looking
tractor. I guess because all of us IH guy's see RED all the time, it is
something different to see a White Farmall for change.
Back to the Super MTA Propane I have. The tractor came from the Lubback,
Texas area. It was hauled up here to PA with a load of other tractors. I
bought it from a man here in PA, but I don't think he really knew what he
was selling. I have tried to look up in the records from Wisconsin, and
contacted a person there to find any information about the propane MTA's. He
gave me the information on how many gas, and diesel's that were made, but
said it would be impossible to tell how many propane models that were made,
cause they were a dealer ordered tractor. Most of the dealers have since
closed, so those records are gone. From what I was told, the propane
tractors were converted down there in Lubbock, Texas. I was told it was a
company contracted by IH to convert the tractors over to Propane, for IH. I
don't know if any of this information is true or not. The propane tank on my
tractor is made in Lubbock,Texas which is what it says on the information
tag on the tank. If anyone knows more information about these tractors,
please feel free to share your information. 1954 Super MTA/Propane. Thanks,
Kevin.
