[AT] More on the water pump

While I was waiting another customer was relating to James (the shop
owner) the horror story of a $1700 bill at another shop (a dealer) to
finally find the problem was a ground circuit in the engine control
module. Multiple examples of parts swapping even a supposed removal and
cleaning of the gas tank (funny how they could remove the tank but leave
the mud and grime on the bolts).
He isn't the cheapest per hour but his work most always exceeds any
dealership. Of course there are a few things he doesn't have the
equipment to handle but very few. He has built his business on his
reputation for honesty and always has plenty of work lined up.
His shop is far from a parts changer and they always start with a
diagnosis in this case somewhat lengthy.
To give you an example of the confidence I have in him he handles all
the work on my mom's car and very seldom do I get involved.
