John,

The 128 was decent looking but needed some mechanical repairs. Most of them that age do even if they seem operational.

Madsen's Service who advertise in Red Power is a good source for new and used parts.

For the 128, is it ready to mow? All 3 of dad's have been used in the last
ouple months.
He's got a snow blower (don't know the model) that has practically never
een used. The blower was bought by a local factory that had a Cadet to mow
heir grass. The theory was they would clear their sidewalks if it snowed.
t looks as if it was used once or twice. I can imagine it was more trouble
han it was worth, quite possibly they didn't have chains and weights as
ell. He's also got a sleeve hitch setup, but I've got to figure out what
eries it is off of, I'm thinking maybe a 124 or slightly older.
e've got a sales brochure somewhere around here that showed all the
ifferent attachments they made available back in the '70s. A couple of
hose items I have never seen , such as a front mounted generator or a bench
eat. I always thought the generator wouldn't be a bad idea.
By the way, if you need parts I've found a place on the internet that is far
etter than our local dealers. It is IH Cub Cadet Warehouse. They are in the
inal stages of moving the business. His prices are far better than I can
et local. And on most stuff for machines with some age on them, the dealer
as to order it so either way you'll pay freight.

 John,

Complete tractor prices seem to be down a bit lately. I just bought a
really nice 1650 for $325 and an average 128 for $225.

Prices for rare options and rare attachments keep climbing and don't seem
 affected by the economy.

Check out www.cubcadetcollectors.com and www.ihcubcadet.com. Both sites
have classified ads you can watch to get an idea of prices.

Anybody on the list collect older Cadet's or been seeing what they sell
 for
 ately?
ad's got 2 129's and a 382 that will most likely be for sale soon. I find
lenty of websites for parts and it appears to be a devoted goup of
 collectors,
ust wondering how stong the market is.
