[AT] small combines

Back in the archives of my graying memory, I recall that an older cousin of mine was doing some assembly of small combined used for seed test plots. I recall seeing them - probably about a 4 foot cut at most. It was about 50 years ago, so details not real clear.
I need to contact him and see what he remembers about that project.
It was done in Haven Kansas.
