I remember reading an article in Scientific American, probably 35 years ago, 
about concrete and the crystalline structure. It mentioned that concrete 
continues to cure.
10± years ago, an I-25 bridge was being rebuilt when some concrete cylinders 
from 1959 were discovered buried in the fill. For giggles the guys took them 
to the lab and they broke at something around 10,000 psi, and that was a 
3250 psi mix design. Pretty near ideal conditions I admit, but I just wanted 
to put my 2 cents worth.
