Take heart Mattias, the earliest of the spring flowers are beginning to
bloom here now. They're close to a month late but at least they are finally
blooming. This too will pass!

It's not impressive it's truly disgusting. Some weeks it fell 4-12" inch
every day, that's not fun. I haven't taken much pictures because the sight
of snow really makes me wanna puke. We are many at work who think it was
better when it was dark from 3:30 PM till 8:00 AM because then we didn't get
to see much of the snow :-). People going skiing are more or less considered
as lunatics. I wanted to buy a pair of skis when the first snow fell to ski
around home with the kids but I found none fit for a full grown man like me.
Then after a week it was no idea because there was to much snow to be able
to move around in the terrain. Hunting season was totally destroyed and all
projects including firewood has been impossible or very hard and mostly
there haven't been time for anything else than shoveling and plowing between
work and sleep. My body has probably aged ten years, I've found so many new
places that can and still hurts. I can promise I won't go anywhere skiing
for many years. The only comfort is that I will probably not live to see
this much snow again.

On another note the government and authority are now washing their hands
saying that according to their rules it hasn't came more snow than the
building structures should be able to take. BULLSHIT! In this coastal area
the calculated maximum snow load is now 50 pounds/square foot since it was
raised from 30 and that was only 14 years ago. And that is such BS because I
personally been on a lot of roofs that weighed twice as much and a few that
weighed thrice as much at some spots even more. I'm truly impressed that
they lasted but it's looks better on them to say that it's badly built and
of course some probably are but not all. There are buildings that stood the
same for 100-150 years with only exception that tile roofs had been chanced
to lighter tin roofs long ago that collapsed. It would probably be more true
to say that some property owners should have been more aware and begun
shoveling earlier.

Enough ranting, soon hopefully the snow has disappeared so much that I could
go take a look at that Boxer and begin discussing tractors instead.
