You are probably right Ed.  I thought the same thing but they still might 
work ok for small tractors.  I did find that one model car,  Japanesse, 
Toyota I think,  but I don't remember which model has an electric over 
hydraulic system.  It looks to be basically the same as a standard power 
steering pump but with an electric motor turning it instead of a belt. 
Sooner or later someone will try it.
