[Farmall] Battery Question

Do you have brake lights? If so, is the brake switch "on" when parked and the brakes locked down causing a live circuit?

You charged your battery correctly.  You have a load on the circuit
somewhere which is indicated by the spark when you connect the cables.  That
is probably why the battery was dead.  Is your ignition switch off? Lights
off?

Subject: [Farmall] Battery Question

Is there a chance that I have ruined my battery?  I took it off as it was
dead and put in on the charger.  It's out of my H, which is POSITIVE ground.
When I charged it, I put the positive cable from the charger to the positive
side of the battery, and the negative to the negative side.  Being it has
been positive ground, would this have made a difference.  The reason for
asking is now that I'm re-installing it on the tractor, I'm getting arching
while hooking up the ground.  Any thoughts??

Doug
