Guy,

Don't know much about the glow, but I heerd that a big power draw can
make them sag a bit. A local here named Jerry Jones built a little
sports arena to replace Texas Stadium - kind a of a testament to his
humility. Power lines to the place hang over I-30 not far to the
north. When the lights and air conditioning are on for a contest, the
lines evidently can sag in the middle about four or five feet - still
way too high up to snag even the tallest unwary truck. This info came
from an Electrical Engineer bud I was talking to on a restaurant deck in
full view of the lines while grading a Belgian ale, but it was early
into the first ale and the guy is very sharp and not given to exaggeration.
