Dean makes a good point here. Another thought I had was that if you've 
got one plug wire in a hole on a 4 hole mag its only going to fire once 
every 4 clicks. meanwhile, you are firing the mag with 3 open circuits. 
Mags don't like firing with the plug wires off. Actually you need to 
test with a gap of about 3/16. I would think at least 5X the plug gap. 
It takes more voltage to fire the plug against compression than it does 
outside the cylinder. It wouldn't hurt to clean the points again too. Doug T
