I have a class this semester that is mostly shop-based and though it's mostly based in electrical and construction skills in agriculture, there's some lee way to take on something mechanical when we're "caught up."  I haven't taught it in about 5 years but I'm determined to make sure the students get the full experience. My plan is to make the students do the legwork--research the engine, what parts are needed, what do they cost, where do they need to order from, etc. with their fearless teacher footing the bill ;) I won't know for sure until next week what this class'll look like but I think I will have some students that can handle it.
