[AT] Hauling tractors to shows

I don't mind making an extra trip to get several tractors to a show if
it is only about 20 miles one way like several nearby shows. If I am
hauling at least 100 miles one way like to Portland I have to think
pretty hard about making extra trips. It starts involving a good bit
of time and not a tiny gasoline bill. I can only haul 2 tractors on my
trailer most of the time. If they are kind of larger like my S-MTA or
S-M they both have to be tricycle fronts so they can over lap. I have
hauled the Allis C, the #$%& CUB and the Yanmar 1500 all at once and
that was stacking really tight. At Portland last year I hauled the
TO-20, the Yanmar and the golf cart on the trailer and squeezed in
several implements on the truck and trailer.
I would really love to be able to haul 4 two plow tractors at once but
the trailer cost would be substantial. I guess I could set them up on
end like a row of steam irons.
 ;-)
Maybe I should just get a semi...
Is anybody hauling 4 two plow tractors now? How are you hauling them?
Just a looong trailer?
I had considered using the old IHC Loadstar to pull the trailer and
hauling two on the truck and two on the trailer. The truck does not
really have a very long bed so it would need to haul a pair of
tricycle tractors on it over lapping each other.
Just brainstorming... Well, maybe not a storm. Maybe just a rain.
:-)
