[AT] Findlay Ohio Show in August

Actually, Mark, the feature tractor is the garden tractor. It just isn't
brand specific so any garden tractor will be a feature tractor. Now,
before I hear cries of having a lawn mower show, let me tell you there
will be a lot more than that. A lot of the early "garden" stuff was
meant to replace a one horse farm. A 1918 testimonial book from the
Beeman Garden Tractor Co contains a testimonial from a user that states
he is gardening approximately 92 acres and that the tractor would be
useful for anyone gardening more than 5 acres. Not quite the garden
tractor terms we think of today. I am working on exhibitors to get the
early and odd pieces at the show. When we were there in 2002 we had over
700 pieces of motorized lawn and garden equipment on the grounds. Since
then we have had an expo with 800 pieces displayed. Although 800 is the
number to beat, 1000 is the goal I've set. Last time the number to beat
was 425 and I set the goal at 500. Anybody that would bring exhibits to
help the count will be appreciated. I am also copying this to the
tractor list in hopes of getting more help! Doug T
