Had a break in the weather today. It was about 25F and no wind. I was able to take the afternoon off from the office and we started putting the
tin on the roof of a 40x40 pole building. The building has a 12’ 3” sidewall and by putting a scissors rafter in the number 2 position we will be able to have a
16’ wide overhead door with a full 12 foot clearance. I’ll actually have a building I can get my loader tractors into. It won’t have heat and only a gravel floor but at least they will be out of the wind and snow.

I’m tired of winter and it doesn’t even start for another week. Wet conditions this fall kept me from hauling manure and hay when I normally do. I got most of the hay in but I had a few fields where I had to wait until the ground froze. Problem is we got too much snow first and that kept the ground from freezing quickly. I got one load of fifteen bales last Sunday.
I had to blow snow for almost a full mile to get the pickup and trailer in to the field because the roadt shoulders had not been mowed. Once we got to the field the pickup was able to follow in the tractor tracks most of the time blowing a track open.
