[AT] computers OT

Just got back home from a trip to Maryland so I'm late coming in on this. I
went to win 7 a couple of months ago with a new notebook. I don't have any
problems at all with it. The only issues I had were figuring out where they
moved a couple of menus to. I don't/didn't like the Windows Live Mail that
they now use instead of Outlook Express but about a month ago I got an
auto-update from Microsoft and it had the home essentials 2011 update in it.
That changed the old Live mail from a very sparse replacement for outlook
express into a full featured replacement for Outlook. There are some things
about it that I don't care for but it's a very capable mail program with a
bunch of features.
Drove 7 hours in the rain today but feel fortunate because it was snowing
just to the west of Hagerstown MD when we left this morning. It was 34 and
raining on I-81. The temps continued up all day but the rain continued to
be hard for the first 5 hours and then started to taper off some.

Yeah, Dave, I'm up to 63 now and not as "gung-ho" about computers as
I used to be.
I'm still on dialup too, but just noticed today that my ISP is
offering satellite for $40/month now.
maybe soon,
Phil
