[AT] early winter?

We normally get snow a couple times a year where I live. Most of the item it leaves in about 2 days, regardless of whether we get an inch or 10 inches. Not unusual to get a 70 deg. day in Feb. Matter of fact it was in the 70's here on Tues. and we got 2 inches of snow on Sat. I never remember snow this early in the year. Can't help but wonder if it is a sign of things to come.
