[Farmall] M magneto trouble

Don't know much about the magneto on an M, but call this #888-274-5562 (Brillman
Company), these guys sell, rebuild electrical components for mos older
tractor's. I was having Magneto problems w/my cub I called and instead of
selling me something I didn't need (like new magneto), told me how to
troubleshoot and find the problem, ended up being a loose wire.
Not trying to promote some company, but when you find someone willing to help
another w/o trying to make a dollar, then I believe this is a company that
deserves to be recognized. I hope they help you out like they did me. Good luck

Suggest checking resistance of your high tension (spark plug) wires.
Also clean rotor and cap (both ends of the metal conductors) to reduce
any corrosion. If you need to replace the plug wires, wire core, ie,
metal conductor would be my choice, not carbon. Your points may be less
than optimal. Resistance across the points should essentially be zero
ohms.
My preference would be to replace the points, condenser, cap, rotor,
wires (including wire ends), and plugs if difficulties continue.
Probably overkill but in the long run less problems?
