[AT] Portland, Who's Coming?

Thanks for the advice Alan, I appreciate it.  I do plan on stopping more 
often during the trip and am making no deadlines so that will help with 
arm weariness during driving.   I plan on bringing the sling too so I 
can rest the arm from time time.   The main repair (re-attach a tendon 
to a bone that become completely detached) actually feels good.   
However they also found a lot else wrong and fixed those but those 
repairs seem to hurt worse.  My physical therapist has already cleared 
me for driving and said my recovery is "ahead of schedule".  So she 
implicitly gave me the OK to go to Portland and skip a week of 
therapy.   Now if I can just got those 12 oz curls added to my daily 
exercises.......
