[Farmall] Farmall 340

Ron,
It's what I refer to as one of the "hybrids", meaning a 300/350 rear end (5 speeds, options for Torque Amplifier "T/A" and Independent PTO "IPTO") with a motor from the C/SC/200/230/240/404 line. If it's gas, it'll have the C135 which bumped up the bore (3-1/8" vs 3-1/4") and stroke (4" vs 4-1/16") of the 230/240 motor yet still has wet(replaceable) sleeves. The last rendition of that motor was the C153 in a 504 which bumped bore to 3-3/8" (but no longer replaceable sleeves) and stroke went to 4-1/4". It should be a real handy utility/chore tractor with more beef that the lighter SC/200 line, but don't expect it to lug like a SH/300/350 would. Engine parts should be common between the 330/340 C135's but the C135 in a 404 is a whole 'nuther beast with fairly little in common.
Stan(VA).
