[Farmall] Super M Fan Belt

Mike: I agree, that Super M does sound great under load. I have a drag (very heavy "I" beam) that I use on our 2 1/2 acres to keep the weeds down. The Farmall will pull that thing all day at half throttle, even uphill. Just for fun, one day I hooked it to my Chevy Dually 4x4 with the 454" engine and it had to work real hard to pull it.
The tractor sits out all the time because we don't have enough garages for all the vehicles. We live in the mountains and get snow plus we've had some heavy rain with high wind. I needed to crank the engine to get that fan belt over the pulley, but the battery was dead. I removed the plugs and when I used the hand crank water shot out of the cylinders. It took me hours to get all the water out, but when she fired up late yesterday she sure sounded good. I guess I didn't do any damage.
I ordered new spark plugs and they should come in today. Will also change the oil; I wanted to change the trans oil until I realized it takes 13 gallons............guess I'll pass on that. This tractor spent it's life as a corn picker, so who knows when that trans oil was changed last time.
