[Farmall] Cub fender removal

I have just removed the deck from my '55 cub for replacement and I have replacement fenders, since they were also a bit corroded.  Is there any problem in removing the bolts that hold the fenders on, leaving just the few that would remain, attaching the rear axles?  Will they hold he weight, or do I need to put a brace/jack underneath to make sure she doesn't "crack" in two?!
