Yes it is Roll-a-matic. I don't have pictures handy but it is
configured sort of like this one:

except mine has an aftermarket cab, Hiniker (sp?) I think... I should
go look at it one of these days.
I'd be embarrassed to ask what they sold that one for... :-)
Mine is sound and has always ran great with super hydraulics but the
paint is getting pretty tired and the seat cushions are shot as is the
cab liner. Still it would clean up nice. I only used it for spring
tillage and seedbed preparation then it usually sat in the shed until
next year. I had enough 50 - 55 HP tractors and smaller so I always
used something lighter on smaller jobs. My MF-165 and the Farmall SMTA
did most of the lighter field work like planting or drilling. The only
fall work was if I planted wheat. We did use the 4020 some with a big
snow blade on the back pushing backward but these days the county has
enough stuff to keep the roads open. Besides, most of the time these
days I don't care if they are open or not... :-) My old 4X4 will
usually get through about anything we get OK.
I have always used tractors down in the 20 - 30 HP range for jobs like
running an auger etc. Son Scott had an Oliver 1755 that did a lot of
in-between jobs. He had kept it when I retired but he sold it this
year.
I have been waffling for several years now on selling this 4020. I
convince myself that I will never need it and that the only "logical
thing to do is sell it then I see one all painted up and get the
notion to keep it and paint it up. Its pretty heavy to haul on my
trailer and I don't go to the local show (sucks) so I wouldn't want to
drive it to shows. I have a BIL with a Deere R that is heavy for his
trailer that has a similar problem. I've never had to do much to it
all of the years I have had it. I put a new clutch disk in it maybe 5
or 6 years ago. It turned out that I could have just adjusted it to a
longer travel (had been sat wrong in its past) but since I had it in
half I put in a new one.
Since I retired I have been admiring smaller stuff like the Fergie
TO-20 I bought last fall. I am thinking about selling my Yanmar 1500
Diesel and maybe my Vermeer baler and buying something like a Jubilee
Ford or a ... or a ... :-)
