I have a Ditch Witch of antique vintage, that every time we leave it sit it won't start until we open the mag & polish the contacts, then it will start just fine1

My brothers is one of these ran when parked , sat for the last year now
. I picked up points and condensor while I was in Portland so I'm assuming
that is not the problem .  But it still wont fire .
He called me yesterday and said there are two wires coming from the coil
,thought maybe one was a ground  and the other went to the points . So he
wired it that way and nothing .  He thought maybe he didnt have the points
gapped right but at that point he was fed up with it and quit .
Ok it has a Wico C mag  , and odd ball for that tractor but it did work .
Anyone familiar with that mag , able to give me a few hints .
Herb , I know its the right color for you .

Next question ,is there a book available that gets into the down and dirty
on that particular mag  ?   I have one for my Farmall , and do have Neil
Yerrigans book . Come to think of it I need to find it and flip thru it .
My problem is its 45 miles away and I cant just run down there and back so I
just cant run over after work . Looks like a road trip this weekend .   The
question of two wires is what has me .  Thanks, Ivan
