we gave up on  rivets in the  knives  on combines  about  20yrs ago now...  
when a  rivet went out  we replaced  with one of the bolts...      
 
when we  did the last  knife with  a rivet we used  this  newfangled  took  
with a lever   for   2  sections...   it just didn't work to get the rivet  
tight...   the  twist tight was best  ...
