H.L.  I don't know but would think PEX would work as well as the plastic air 
hoses you see now days.  You know like the ones that coil up.  If the PEX 
was run along a wall or ceiling and secured every few feet so that it 
couldn't whip around if it ruptured it might be fine.  The only thing being, 
what kind of pressure is PEX rated for?
