Amen to that, Charlie. I have a friend who started out with his own repair 
shop (tractors, farm equipment & small engine repair) who got the bulk of my 
business. As cost for health care and operating expenses climbed, he decided 
to go to work for a big JD dealer as service mgr. After a couple months he 
quit because the people they hired to work in the shop were idiots & lazy 
(his description). He then went to work for another JD dealer, lasted again 
about two months and quit for the same reason. He's now back running his own 
shop again, has expanded, hired quality people he knew were good, and is 
doing very well because word of mouth has caused most of the one-upon-a-time 
dealer customers to bring their jobs to him now because they know he'll do 
it right the first time ...and for less money than the dealer shops charge.
