An old farmer once told me "A dry year will scare ya, but a wet year
will kill ya!"

I have been nursemaiding my 87 year old father after his Knee
replacement on March 9, after 5 weeks of pain at home, we found out he
had a blood clot in the knee all that time. 2 surgeries with a vascular
surgeon were no help. The knee joint was saved, but the leg amputated
below the knee. Had to go into surgery to remove dead/infected tissue
on Wednesday of this week. He is getting unreasonable about staying in
the hospital for the antibiotics. Thinks he has to be at home, so I
have to move him around with my bulged discs in my back....

Spent so much time with him that I am just getting my swather and baler
ready to go. The white 2-105 had air cond compressor problems today,
and the 7030 allis needs all the gaskets in the cab windows to keep them
in place. Bought 200 ft of window gasket for $125 on internet. The
dealers here wanted $5 to $8 a foot for it....

Big storm passing thru right now... I need to get the weeds sprayed on
the bermuda field as the thistles are 2 ft tall... Haven't had 2 days
straight with no wind or no rain...
