Cecil,
An 1850 dsl rowcrop with a loader is my primary tractor rigth now. I mostly
just want to upgrade to a decent cab with AC and heat. The better hydraulic
system is a plus too. The only negative that I can see is the faster slow
reverse speeds for using the snowblower. According to a Nebraska tractor
test chart my 1850 is 1.3 mph in R1 direct. It does not give the speed with
the hydrapower in low. The same chart indicates 2.0 in R1 underdrive. Still
way better than most other tractors of similar Hp and age. The only other
tractor I'm considering is an IH 186 Hydro.

I have one of these and it is a 1850 Oliver with a turbo and a cab. The
oliver has a heavier front axle and the heavy cast iron grill. Great
tractor. 354 perkins turbo diesel. Be sure to service the filter on
the power divider regularly...
