Paul,
The metal "plate" is the metal backing of the seat back cushion.  The words
"John Deere" is a decal applied directly on the metal seat back.

Hi all--

Killing time because I can't sleep and poking about on the web.  I see some
electric start B's with a metal plate across the seat back that says JOHN
DEERE.  Thinking to myself that's pretty neat, and the back of my seat back
is not so pretty, I figure this would kill two birds with one stone.  Except
I can't find them at any of my parts places.  Are these homemade additions?
