[Farmall] Farmall C wiring diagram

SO,

Thanks so much for your prompt (and helpful) response.  Since I get a strong
discharge reading when the lights are on and the engine is not running, I'm
inclined to think that the ammeter is OK.  The battery is still starting the
tractor at this point, so I can't say for sure that the electrical system is
draining.

If it is, would your next step be to rebuild the generator?

Are you sure the ammeter is connected correctly?  Meaning, if it is
backward, then the trickle discharge you are seeing is in reality a
trickle of charge which is completely normal.  Does your battery
slowly but surely die, which would support the idea that it IS
discharging?
