Mike,
On the farmallcub forum we have found that the rubber inserts from old windshield wipers make excellent headlight ring gaskets.

  Subject: [AT] Guide lamp gaskets

I am restoring a '52 Farmall Cub, and it has the usual Guide 6 volt bulb
type lamps that it seems were also used by AC, JD, etc. I have one OEM
rubber gasket and two new ones for the lenses, but I am having a helluva
time getting the whole mess together. I can get the gaskets to sit on
the lens, but when I put the ring around the gasket/lens, the gasket
pops off. I did manage to get one of them on (just barely), but then the
spacing for the clamp screw was too wide. I must be doing something
wrong, but I don't know what. The OEM gasket has a groove that looks
like it is for the ring, but that is even more difficult to assemble. I
am at the point where I am tempted to glue the gasket on to the lens. or
just wrap the lens with electrical tape and call it a day.

  Any (polite) suggestions?

The tractor can be seen at

  Thanks,

  Mike
