I have a chance to buy a JD 2010 gas burner with front end loader, $2500.  The tractor runs good and the loader is strong. Other than a few oil seeps here and there on it and greasy engine, the only thing that does not work is the PTO.  I am not familiar at all with this tractor and would like some advice from some of yall that own or are knowlegable on this. it comes with a bucket and front hay spear.  Also what is involved in the PTO repair ? The owner said he hit a dirt pile with bush hog and PTO quit working. Any info on this will be appreciated.
 Last week I went and looked at a IH 350 utility with loader on it for  $3500.  And this JD seems like twice the tractor that one was. Actually it was a joke, I got on it started it up and the smoke rolled out the exhaust. I drove it around back of the building and set in to try it out a bit. After about 5 minutes running wide open it lifted the front wheels a bit off the ground. And the owner came running out and said stop it your going to blow it up !  So I just drove it back to its parking place and went inside to ask the fella why the power steering didnt work. And how long had they been running it with out an air cleaner hooked up. He seemed to think the tractor was fine and under priced so I just bought 10 clinch pins for $2.00 and come home.
Now this morning I ran into this JD, so help me out we really need a loader tractor.
