[Ford-ferguson] 8-N Governor

Yesterday, we got the Ford 8-N out of the barn after being parked for two
weeks . Up until that time it had been running and starting great. However,
yesterday the engine rev to a high rpm when started. I notice the governor
would go to full throttle no matter where the throttle lever set to. The
linkage has not been change, and has been working right.  Any suggestions as
to what my problem might be?
