[AT] Minneapolis Moline engine question

Dudley - I've been to Balcom a few times. I lived not far from Fairmont for 27 years. The only think I ever bought from him, though, was a used 6v ignition coil to convert my "R" back to the original electrical system. I heard an interesting story that he owned a very nice UDLX that was stolen several years ago, and supposedly it was recovered within the past few years - from someone who had purchased it from the thieves. I don't have all the details, but it was something like that. Obviously, I never saw that tractor sitting around his lot!

Regards,

Kyle,

There is a former Moline Dealer, Lynnie Balcom in Fairmont, MN (1029 West
Lake Avenue, 1-800-658-2309). He now has a New & Used Parts operation on
the site of his old dealership. I would guess 80 to 90 percent of his
inventory is MM. I've passed through Fairmont a couple of times and stopped
and chatted with Kyle. He might be able to offer you some help.

Good Luck -

Subject: [AT] Minneapolis Moline engine question

Hello folks - I'm wondering if there are any Minni-Mo experts out there who
can help me out. I've got a '47 RTU with a badly worn camshaft. I came
across a parts engine that is a 206C-4 type RE engine off of an old Moline
harvester. I'm pretty sure this is the type of motor that would be used in
the "Z" tractors. I'm wondering if the camshaft would be identical? The
camshaft in the parts engine is in really good shape, so would be nice to be
able to just swap it in.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Kyle Sands <>< Alexandria, MN
