My last message bounced, so I'll try again.

While I have nothing against these funny colored tractors, I am running out of room to store them.??I have been gifted a 1938 B and a 1953 50 John Deere that belong to my Father-in-law.? The 1938 B was the first tractor on the farm, and the 50 took over in 1953 and has been his main tractor every since.? Neither tractor has spent a night outside, and now I need to find a nice safe inside place to store them.? The 50 also comes with a set of mounted implements that came with the tractor and have also been stored inside (cultivators, corn planter, and plow).

He sold off all his other tractors two years ago (I bought two from him at that time), and has finally decided it's time to let these go.? I jokingly mentioned in to him a couple of weeks ago when they asked if there was anything I wanted, so I told him his tractors would look good in my garage.? They thought about it for a week and then called to tell me they decided that they would let me store them for him, and if they are in my possession when he dies, they will be mine.

The only obstacle I can see is my brother-in-law (their only son).? I think he expected to get them, but when I asked my father-in-law if he told him, he said "its none of his business, he has gotten enough already".? I guess the 10+years of rent free living (he had money for everything else, but not enough to pay rent to his parents for the newly remodled house across the road) has caught up with him.

I guess it's time to build another barn.

Enjoy, Joe
