[Farmall] Farmall A serial #

I know excatly where you are talking, however this tractor has a coil suspention seat and does not have the bracket that you mention where the leaf springs would mount so no serial # tag.

Look on the inside of the left seat support, above and to the left of 
the axle housing. That is where most of the serial numbers were, 
according to Guy Fay's "International Harvester Tractor Data Book".
