I was able to take my vacuum assist unit to Brake and Clutch Supply in  
Seattle.  They sent it in for rebuild.  It took about one week.   Brake and Clutch 
has a lot of rebuilds on the shelf but didn't have mine.   I'm sure there are 
other parts suppliers that offer the same  service,.
