[Farmall] Voltage problem

Jerry,  I noticed one of my Super Cs doing the same thing.  I do not think it is discharging the battery because if I put a charger on it right after I run it, it reads charged.  Maybe it is just the spring, but I have never tried it.  I am interested in what you find you.

I have a super C. While running the volt meter reads discharge. I have had
the generator and the regulator checked. They are both good and working. I
was told that if I take the cover off the regulator and stretch the spring a
little that it would increase the charging to the + side. Has any one else
ever had this problem and will this work? This a 6 volt system. There are NO
