Well, I have a combine with a power unit engine.....it's a Continental
Y-69....and it does not have an oil filter on it and I don't know what oil
was used in it before I got it but I suspect non-detergent.  I don't think
I'll make the switch to a regular detergent 30 wt. oil until I can have the
engine taken apart to see what's inside there.  Engine runs like a top now
so it'll probably be a while before it ever needs anything done that would
require tearing it down, so no sense in turning all that sludge loose in
there and creating a problem when there are none now.
