Reminds me of a Macullough (sp). Back in the 50's.  Oiler would not pump 
right and would lose oil, We had to travel 15 mi to a repair shop, which 
then was a long way. My Uncle told of the problem. The mechanic never said a 
word. He picked up the saw, put it on the bench, picked a 20 oz ballpien 
hammer, pushed the plunger all of the way down, and smacked the plunger with 
the hammer.  $4.50, the oiler worked great. The ball was just not seated 
good at the bottomed of the plunger.  My Uncle was pissed.   2 hrs out of 
the day, and $4.50 for one swing of the hammer.  Moral, you get paid for 
what you know, it impressed me at 15 yr of age.
