It may have been with the steel paddles the 20 had.
BUT, there are quite a few Amish locally who have modern tractors with
high speed road gears AND they are on steel!!! (rears, fronts they
usually have rubber on the road units)

They use a unique steel wheel though. They take a wide flat wheel then
add tall angle iron diagonal paddles. They are located the width of the
angle apart (about 2" or so) and bent to match the radius of the wheel.
They run in high gear full throttle and the sound is a unique growl that
you only need to hear once. You can hear them coming up the road for a
LONG ways. One I know well has an immaculate Allis Chalmers 7045 on
steel. Kind of looks strange seeing that modern tractor on steel but it
almost look "correct".
