We used to get some good sized snapping turtles (or parts of them) when we had a hay field near the creek. Bi-sected some with the mower too. I had a neighbor who was rather upset one time because he bailed a skunk up.  He was doing a lot of grumbling about who would shoot a skunk and leave it in a hay lot.
