Yeah, well, considering it was trashed and something like a 5.83 ratio!!!
We have a 4.10 rear with Daytons in it, looks massive (I think it's a 44,000# or even heavier), but, free is free.  Good rear end and NEW brakes & drums.  The free fairy is very welcome at our place!
Unless you look under the rear and see the pig and air suspension it looks fine.  The wheel base is within 2 inches of the build sheet dimensions.
The real fun will begin when we make it a tilt hood instead of butterfly.  We will keep the hinges and hold-downs for looks, but will have a 12v hydraulic lift on it.
We really want to make a show truck as well as a tractor hauler.  Oh, I forgot to mention the round nose Fruehauf ribbed stainless trailer that will go behind it.
Seriously, the only thing salvagable was the cab sheet metal, so I don't feel the least bit bad about not 'restoring' it, we're saving it and that's good.
