Can anyone tell or point me to a chart of the ground speeds of a Ford
9N a Ford 8N and a Ferguson TO series tractor with a Sherman
over-drive installed? How about the Hupp units? Our TO-20 had a Hupp
over/std/under-drive. It really seemed like flight speeds in road gear
to me as a kid.

On a side note our Hupp was defective. It kept eating clutches, the
fingers not the disk. The dealer worked on it several times. It went
back to the factory once and finally ended up in our storage loft
after its sixth clutch. The dealers shop foreman came and wanted to
buy it to install in someone else's Fergie to see it it was really the
unit.Sometime later we saw him and asked how it did. He shook his head
and said "It ate the new clutch". They sold a herd of those around
here and that was the only one we ever heard of that ate clutch
fingers. It always had free travel and we never "rode" our clutches.
When you would open it up the fingers were burnt and so was the
throw-out bearing... I assume that the mounts were off somewhere but
it always seemed to be working OK and shifted well until the clutch
started growling when you pushed it down. They even tried two
different pressure plate assemblies. ???
